Determing BDE-209 in the Microbial Degradation System by Solid-phase Extraction and HPLC

Key words: BDE-209; solid-phase extraction; HPLC; GH10 strain; degradation rate
Details
Abstract: In Solid -phase extraction was used to extract BDE-209 in the GH10 degradation system. The concentration of  BDE
-209 was detected by HPLC. The conditions of solid-phase extraction and HPLC were optimized. For solid-phase extraction,
the optimal eluent solvent was hexane /dichloromethane (1∶1,V/V), with volume of 4 mL (2 mL×2). For HPLC,
the detection wavelength and temperature of the oven was 260 nm and 30 ℃. The optimal mobile phase was acetonitrile / water (95∶5,V/V),
with the flow rate of 1.2 mL / min. The retention time of BDE-209 was 24.705 minutes. GH10 strains efficiently degraded BDE-209 (50 mg / L) in three days. The degradation rate was up to 59.24% by the third day. The method of usingsolid-phase extraction and HPLC can quickly extract and detect BDE-209 in the microbial degradation system. It is simple and time saving.
