Analysis of Atrazine Residue Dynamic in the Soil in Shenyang

Abstract: A HPLC method was established for determining the residue and the degradation of atrazine in Shenyang and Xinmin. The results showed that the fortified recoveries of atrazine were 87.35%-120.12% at the spiking levels of 0.05-0.5 mg/kg with the relative standard deviations of 3.32%-7.03%. The method met the requirements of residue analysis. The degradation of atrazine in soil conformed to the first-order kinetic equation, and the half-lives of atrazine were 15.61-16.27 d and 14.65-15.34 d in Shenyang and Xinmin, respectively. The rates of degradation in soil in Shenyang and Xinmin were similar. The final residues of atrazine in soil were not detected. Atrazine 38% SC could be used to control weed in corn field with the maximum active ingredient dosages of 3 377 g/hm2.
